In the eighteenth century, the roll of drums
announced the arrival of a recruiting officer. Aspiring young men
hoped to "measure up" on the sergeant’s halberd so
that they could enlist in their country’s service.
Enlist now in an army of Friends of Fort
Ticonderoga. Your membership will bring you the adventure of
discovery each time you visit the Fort. You will be promoting
history as a learning experience for schoolchildren, families, and
all of our visitors.

Each year we appeal to our visitors and Friends for help with the day-to-day
operations of Fort Ticonderoga, such as living history, collections,
preservation, education programs, maintenance, and the King's
Garden.
