The Pavilion
Maintaining our landscapes helps preserve features from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries that are an important part of the Fort Ticonderoga story. The gardens, fields, woodlands, and open areas enable our visitors to experience a variety of scenery on the peninsula. Volunteers are needed to further our mission of stewardship and help our guests enjoy these special areas. Invasive Plant Workdays

Water Chestnut Pull - July 22nd
July 22, 2010 Water Chestnut Pull: In cooperation with the Nature Conservancy Lake Champlain Office, remove specimens from the mouth of the LaChute River. Instructions and equipment are provided. Call TNC (802)-265-8645 x22 to register.
The King’s Garden
Become a Garden Volunteer
Green thumbs and gardeners-in-training are welcome to help keep our garden growing. Hours are flexible and there is no minimum requirement. We have tasks for every ability level. Sign up today!
Gardener: You can help our garden grow! Some tasks include weeding, removing faded flowers by deadheading, watering, and staking. No prior experience is necessary. Opportunities are available from one hour per week and the schedule is very flexible. If you enjoy being outdoors in a peaceful setting, you will enjoy this experience!

Garden Tour Guide: Tours are offered daily in the King’s Garden. If you enjoy plants and people, this one’s for you! The long and rich history of the peninsula is fascinating; our guides bring these stories to life for our visitors. Outlines are provided and we have several books that are great resources. Tours are 30 minutes. No minimum commitment; schedule as many or as few as you wish. Knowledge of plants is helpful, but not required.
