Graduate and Continuing Education Courses
Fort Ticonderoga partners with two organizations to offer graduate and continuing education credits for teachers:
Living History Education Foundation
Since 2002, Fort Ticonderoga, in partnership with the Living History Education Foundation, has offered courses that teach teachers how to use the techniques of living history in the classroom. Teachers from Buffalo to Long Island have participated in these courses. The Living History Education Foundation covers all the costs associated with these courses for New York State teachers: overnight accommodations, site fees, and meals. Participants need only pay for graduate or continuing education credits. Teachers from other states should contact the Living History Education Foundation directly about possible funding.
